I’m a geek, not a freak or a gleek

I hate labels. Cool, Emo, Floater, Goth, Hippie, Jock, Loner, Loser, Nerd, Popular, Prep, Rebel, Stoner, Tool..... They are the only ones I can think of at the moment. But I’m such a hypocrite: I label people all the time. Once, a few friends & I drew up a map which incorporated each clique & their stereotype. But we couldn’t decide what our group’s stereotype was. We’re not popular (five peeps is hardly there), and we’re not cool or stoners. My bestie Ann dresses like an emo, but she acts preppy. My other bestie, Una, always dresses indie & hippy like, but is a total rebel, always getting into trouble. Then there’s BB -- A purple-haired freak who acts like a tool and wears brands such as Nike, Adidas, & Puma.
Maybe we’re losers?
These labels have got me feeling insignificant lately – I’m actually the “smart” gal, but it’s horrible when it’s the only thing people see you as & refuse to get to know you a lil’ bit better. Does anyone else get that? I’m sure heaps of people do.
I hate labels.

By the way, do y’all like my new header? My pal
Blaize made it for me on a Windows program called Real Draw PRO; she wanted to draw it then scan it, but I stopped that from happenin’ (lol)! I’d prefer to have a simple, hideous header than a complex, good-lookin’ one. xx Peppercorn Swirls

I'm happy to say I'm a gleek! But that's only coz I love Glee.

I actually have the same stitch with my friends, we're not popular, semi-popular but neither are we complete nerds,un-cool or bitched about.
